Tips for life when your an emotional wreck

When you just cant even

Brooke Bates, Repoter

“Hey are you okay?” someone asks, “I’m fine,” you reply, but not really, in truth you’re  screaming for help, deciding whether you should be joyful when deep down you’re feeling miserable, something we tend to think about everyday. Being a human is hard, you have mental breakdowns over what to eat for dinner, what to wear, or you cry for no reason.

Anyone can be emotional for the right reason, wrong reason, or for no reason at all. Say life is perfect but then you get kicked in the gut and feel the pain that once waited for you, you like the feeling now? as you lie on the floor curled up in a ball in tears. Though you can’t help but wonder if you should walk out with a smile without showing your true feelings or stay and socialize with your feelings.

What’s the point after all? Why do you feel like this? It’s simple, you’re feeling upset for the littlest things in life, or stressed over the things that don’t really matter that much, but matter to you, or you’re built up on emotions that you usually don’t let out until one day it is overwhelming, and only then you need help.

How to overcome these certain feelings can be challenging. One way to overcome the feelings, according to Psychology Today, avoid anything that can cause a trigger, such as being stuck in traffic, find a way to be calm and search for any possibilities that can get you through the situation. If you don’t consider thinking about it, be a grumpy bear, your choice.

Another way is to change your thoughts, according to Psychology Today, change your upsetting thoughts and replace them with lighthearted, calm, soothing ones, or wait until your home and beat up a pillow, scream into it, isn’t that what we end up doing? On the other hand, please don’t.

Positivity is another option considered. Endure positive notes about anything and change the disapproval or negative conclusions into something else think, how was your day? What was good about your day? What made you happy? Plus, if you have a hilarious family ask them if they can make you feel better by making a joke so you can laugh.

Now if you don’t do any of that well then eat some ice cream, curl up on the couch, watch some Netflix and be antisocial from the world while containing your feelings or crying yourself to sleep, it’s best if you don’t do that, do something, encourage yourself to at least try.
