Student debuts new short film

The film is centered around a mentally unstable writer who was struggling to perfect his story.

Some students want to be actors, some engineers, and some artists.

A fellow Coyote is already accomplishing her dreams as a film director as a junior in high school.

On August 30, 2014, Ciara Boniface released her second short film, named “Diana”.

The film was centered around a mentally unstable writer who was struggling to perfect his story.

“He kind of brings his character to life in the most beautiful way possible. His parents are trying to help him regain his sanity, but it just keeps slipping through his fingers and his schizophrenic episodes become more common,” Boniface said of her character.

Boniface enjoys making psychological thriller films.

Her first short film was titled “A Streetlight Named Fear.”

“My life goal is to become a successful film director, but if I don’t end up like the next Martin Scorsese, I’ll be okay. As long as I’m making films, I’ll be happy,” Boniface said.

Ciara’s parents, Armstead and Paulina Boniface support their daughter and have helped fund and promote her dreams of becoming a filmmaker.

“Seeing her progress over the years, it’s just been phenomenal. She’s doing a great job and she’s very passionate about her work,” her mom said of her daughter’s films.

“When you get into your passion, time has no bounds. You’re in it… trying to perfect it. You have to support that… if it’s your passion, there’s no way you can’t get into it,” her dad said.

Boniface looks up to film directors such as Steve McQueen, David Lynch, Spike Jones and Quentin Tarantino.

She said that they all work in the same style that she wants to model her films after.

Boniface recently released her third short film titled “Pitch Black Theatre.”
