The yearly reminders are filling up our email boxes  and blaring over the loudspeakers- select your courses for the following year. For some students, this is an easy task, but for others it may  be more difficult. Our school has many options, ranging from Agriculture courses to fashion design. Luckily, Frisco ISD has a course guideline on their website, and counselors who will be meeting with us soon!

   Here’s what to do:

  1. Go to Heritage High School’s website, and click on resources.
  2. At the top of the column, click Academic Guide & Course Catalog.
  3. Since next school year will be 2020-2021, chose that one ! or .
  4. From there, you will have a course catalog with 138 pages, but don’t worry, it has a table of contents!
  5. Now remember, you need 26 credits to graduate, and if you haven’t taken the mandatory classes ( health, 2 years of foreign language, speech, etc .)
  6. Keep that in mind as you choose your four extra classes, getting them over with sooner than later can help a lot.
  7. The catalog has a list of the different types of classes you can take, from the CTEC to sports. It also has the prerequisites to career centered courses.
  8. Once you have a good idea of what you would like to take, wait until you meet with your counselor, and they’ll be able to advise you on classes and help sign up for them!
