The week of January 27th, the UNICEF club will begin selling candy grams in the cafeteria during lunch to raise funds for mothers and children in developing countries.

Preparations to sell the candy grams began in the beginning of December when the idea was reintroduced at a meeting. Candy grams have been sold by the UNICEF club for many years and President Maleeha Khan wanted to continue with the tradition.

“We’ve been planning to sell candy grams for a while now,” Khan said. “With Valentines Day coming up, I think it’s the perfect opportunity to sell candy grams and raise funds for UNICEF.”

The club plans to sell the candy grams for $0.50 each to eventually deliver the week of Valentines Day during second period. Volunteers that will be selling the candy grams signed up the second week of January and will be dispersed throughout the lunches to collect funds for the club.
