School attendance is crucial for students to meet the district requirements for graduation and to avoid truancy. CNTV’s June Won sat down with our attendance clerk, Ms. Whiffen, to discuss when absences are excused and unexcused and how to avoid the consequences that can come with too many absences.

June Won, Reporter
June Won is a junior at Heritage High School and is a first-year member of Coyote Nation TV. Initially, June took AV Production with no prior knowledge of broadcast journalism and to just to fill a spot in his schedule. Since then, he has found a passion in the experience that the program offers. He joined CNTV to grow his interest in editing and to be a part of a community with similar interests in journalism and video production. Outside of the newsroom, June enjoys playing the trombone for the HHS Marching Band, another community he is passionate about being a part of.
