JV football tackles a winning streak

Braden Torres-Labrie and his teammates are striving to hold on to their winning streak.

Every season, our football teams strive to win every game they take on.

Along the way, they face losses.

However, this year, the JV football team made it a 3-0 start.

This year, their coach, Steven Walker, feels like the players have tried harder than before.

“One thing that’s been different about this school year is I think our kids are a lot hungrier than they’ve [ever] been,” Walker said.

But, being apart of the team also has many other challenges than one may think.

“The daily struggles are getting lined up and just focusing on what we need to get right,” said Jaleel Davis.

“It’s hard trying to focus on not only getting the plays right, but the whole game right,” said Adrian Perez.

Even though they have a few struggles, they continue to strive for one thing; winning.

“We’ve been able to find success,” Walker said.

Not only is finding success a key part of the season, but the players and coaches were also putting in extra work.

“We practiced so hard and we just want all the hard work to pay off, and I believe it will,” said Perez.

“I think the coaches are doing a good job. The kids are putting a lot of hard work in before the season started and we’re working hard now,” Walker said.

This season, continue supporting your JV football team as they fight for a 10-0 record.
