Alayna Mayo is a sophomore at Heritage High School who fell in love with writing in fourth grade. She's grown up with her nose buried in books but didn't begin to pursue the art of writing until her fourth-grade teacher began to encourage her. And then the passion was set on fire. She sought to share the beauty of humanity through words. The power of written expression has always been tangibly real to her and it is through journalism that she can share that reality with the rest of the world around her. She plans to make a career out of journalism and provide genuine content to make a positive difference for mankind as a whole by sharing truth and facts to the public. To get them thinking. To paint a picture of reality. To make the world a better place.
